We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Hand to join our vibrant team at our Japanese Restaurant in Ivanhoe East.
The Kitchen Hand plays a crucial role in supporting our chefs and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen.
This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about food and eager to learn in a dynamic hospitality environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation of ingredients and dishes as directed by the chefs
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and dining areas
Wash and sanitise kitchen utensils, equipment, and dishes
Support the chefs during service by ensuring timely delivery of food items
Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards at all times




Assist with stock management and inventory control
Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a kitchen environment, preferably in a Japanese restaurant
Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
Ability to work in a rapid-paced setting and under pressure
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Willingness to learn and take on current responsibilities
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
Preferably speaking Chinese
