Data Migration Analyst | Multiple Roles | Investment Banking

Location: Sydney, NSW

Rate: $850 p/d inc super

Contract: 12+ months with extensions

Primary Purpose of the Role:

The Data Migration Analyst will be responsible for gathering business and data requirements, identifying opportunities to improve data quality and developing scalable solutions that support business operations.

Working within the Data Governance team, you will collaborate with local and global stakeholders to deliver data-driven improvements, streamline processes and support broader business change initiatives.

Key Accountabilities:

- Gather, analyse and translate business requirements into clear data and technical specifications.
- Develop and maintain Alteryx workflows and Power BI dashboards to improve operational efficiency and reporting.
- Analyse large datasets to identify inconsistencies, improve data quality and maintain data integrity.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand existing processes and design improved future-state solutions.
- Develop scalable data solutions aligned with established governance frameworks and standards.
- Identify automation and process improvement opportunities, including developing proof-of-concepts and business cases.




- Support data governance initiatives and ensure solutions meet operational and business requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and global stakeholders to deliver projects within agreed timelines.

Essential Requirements:

- Minimum 3 years' experience in data analysis, business analysis or a related role.
- Minimum 3 years' experience with Alteryx Designer/Gallery or Power BI.
- Experience working within financial services, ideally in a technology, transformation or change environment.
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases and large datasets.
- Experience in custody, fund administration or back-office operations within the funds management industry.
- Strong understanding of data quality, governance and process improvement.
- Ability to translate complex data into meaningful business insights and practical solutions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work across business and technical teams.
- Robust attention to detail, problem-solving skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in IT, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
