#### Casual Disability Support Worker- North AdelaideNorth Adelaide, SA 5006Casual#### Job descriptionMayflower Supports is seeking a reliable, compassionate and experienced Support Worker to join our team in Broadview!We are looking for a male Support Worker or a mature-aged female Support Worker to provide one-on-one support to an older male participant living with dementia.We are seeking someone who is patient, respectful, dependable and confident supporting an older person with daily living needs while promoting their dignity, independence and quality of life.About the RoleThis is a casual position with weekday and weekend shifts available. Shifts are generally 5 hours long, with the following times:Morning shifts: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PMAfternoon shifts: 3:00 PM – 8:00 PMWeekday and occasional weekend availability is required.There are opportunities for ongoing shifts for the right candidate.Key ResponsibilitiesProviding personal care and assistance with daily livingSupporting medication administrationPreparing meals and assisting with household tasksProviding companionship and emotional supportSupporting community access and appointments where requiredSupporting a participant living with dementia with patience and understandingMaintaining accurate progress notes and shift documentationPromoting participant choice, dignity,



safety and independenceEssential RequirementsCertificate III in Individual Support (Disability or Ageing) or equivalentPrevious experience in disability support, aged care or dementia careExperience with personal careMedication administration competency and experienceCurrent NDIS Worker Screening CheckCurrent National Police CheckNDIS workers orientation moduleCurrent First Aid and CPR certificatesCurrent driver's licence and reliable vehicleGood communication skills and a skilled, compassionate approachAvailability for weekday and weekend shiftsThe Ideal CandidateWe are looking for someone who is patient, mature-minded, reliable and genuinely passionate about supporting older people.
