Motus Ballarat is seeking an experienced and highly driven General Sales Manager - New Cars to lead our new vehicle sales operation within our award-winning, multi-franchise dealership.

We're looking for a hands-on automotive sales leader who is passionate about people, process and performance. You'll be visible on the showroom floor, actively supporting your team and customers while driving a disciplined Road to a Sale, strong prospecting and follow-up, and consistent double open and double close practices.

The Role

As General Sales Manager - New Cars, you will be responsible for:

- Leading, coaching and developing the new car sales team
- Achieving sales volume, gross profit and customer experience targets
- Driving a consistent and disciplined Road to a Sale
- Ensuring double open and double close processes are followed
- Leading by example and actively assisting with customers and negotiations
- Driving strong prospecting, lead management and follow-up disciplines
- Monitoring CRM activity, appointments, demonstrations and conversions




- Managing new vehicle stock, ageing and inventory

About You

To succeed as our General Sales Manager - Recent Cars, you will ideally have:

- Proven automotive sales management experience
- Proven ability to drive Road to a Sale disciplines across the team
- A hands-on, lead-from-the-front management style
- Strong coaching, negotiation and closing skills
- The ability to motivate, develop and hold a sales team accountable
- Strong CRM, prospecting and lead management disciplines
- Commercial understanding of volume, gross and stock management
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- A current Australian driver's licence
