About the Role
As Housekeeping Supervisor, you'll support the day-to-day operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring rooms and public areas are consistently presented to the highest standard. You'll lead by example, coaching room attendants, monitoring quality, and stepping in to resolve issues quickly and professionally.
Reporting to the Executive Housekeeper, you'll assist with training, systems, workflows, and the maintaining of Avani's housekeeping standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily housekeeping operations across guest rooms and public spaces
- Inspect completed rooms to ensure Avani's quality and presentation standards are met
- Support the recruitment, onboarding, and training of housekeeping team members
- Coordinate daily task allocations and ensure efficient workflow during high-occupancy periods
- Assist with stock control, linen inventories, and ordering requirements
- Respond to guest requests and service recovery needs with professionalism
- Maintain WHS compliance and protected working practices across the department
- Collaborate closely with Front Office and Engineering teams to resolve room status or maintenance issues
