Band 2 $42.75 per hour including casual loading

We're looking for Frontof House - Ushers to join our Creative Venues team. In this role, you'llhelp create exceptional experiences for visitors attending performances, eventsand activities across Council's creative venues, with a particular focus on theGippsland Performing Arts Centre (GPAC). You'll be the welcoming face of ourvenues, ensuring patrons receive outstanding customer service from arrivalthrough to departure.

What You'll Be Doing

- Welcomeguests and provide professional,



customer-focused service to all visitorsattending Council's creative venues.
- Checktickets, assist with seating arrangements and manage the seating of latearrivals in accordance with theatre etiquette.
- Provideinformation to patrons regarding venue facilities, performances andevents.
- Monitorpatron safety and wellbeing and assist with venue evacuation procedureswhen required.
- Assistwith event set up and pack down activities and help maintain clean andwelcoming public areas.
- Providefood and beverage services as required and support the efficient operationof Council's creative venues.

About You

You are friendly, professional and genuinely enjoy creatingpositive customer experiences. You thrive in a team environment, communicateconfidently with people from all backgrounds and can remain calm and responsivein a fast-paced environment. You have an interest in the performing arts andenjoy contributing to the success of community events and performances.

Key Selection Criteria

- Demonstratedexperience delivering and maintaining excellent customer service.
- Abilityto act responsibly and follow procedures in responding to safetyincidents, first aid situations and evacuation requirements.




- Strongverbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part ofa team.
- Understandingof, or interest in, the performing arts and front of house operations.
- Availabilityto work evenings and weekends.
