Suspension & Assembly Fit-out Technician / Trailer Builder

Working as part of a small, focused team, you will play a critical role in bringing brand-new semi-trailers to life. You will be responsible for the structural assembly of body components, precision mechanical fitment to the trailer chassis, and complete electrical and pneumatic fit-outs to strict customer specifications.

Key responsibilities

- Fitting air suspensions, running gear, landing legs, and skid plates
- Laying out front-end mounting holes, securing bolts, and fitting refrigeration units
- Positioning and fitting components including fuel tanks, toolboxes, ply boxes, bar boxes, under-body storage lockers (including hinges, locks, and seals), and spare wheel carriers
- Fastening wire looms, fitting/connecting front, side, and rear lights, and handling the complete pneumatic networks (including EBS/ABS braking systems)
- Fitting specialized interior components such as loadlok, double load pockets, airflow floors, meat rails, and remote evaporators
- Positioning and fitting rear trailer doors, door locks, hinges, and cutting/fitting door seals
- Fitting corner protectors, rub rails, D rubbers, rear bumpers, mudguards, mud flaps, labels, and signs
- Performing all assembly and workshop tasks strictly in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

About you

- Trade background in Mechanics (Automotive, Heavy Vehicle, or Plant),



Automotive Accessories Fitters, or Bus/Truck/Trailer Technicians
- Strong exposure to auto-electrical wiring, air brakes, hydraulics, or body component assembly
- Ability to read layout instructions, follow SOPs precisely, and deliver high-quality workmanship
- Proven track record of dependability, a strong work ethic, and a excellent team attitude
- Experience using a wide range of hand and power tools
