Flooring & Window Furnishings Sales Consultant – Mornington

Choices Flooring by Smiths is looking for a motivated salesperson to join our Mornington team.

We're a locally owned and operated business servicing the Mornington Peninsula, specialising in flooring and window furnishings for homes and businesses.

We're looking for someone who enjoys working with people, takes ownership of their customers and gets satisfaction from turning an enquiry into a sale.

This isn't just a showroom role.

You'll work with customers from their first visit through to product selection, quoting, follow-up and getting their project underway. You'll also visit customers' homes to measure and provide advice on the right flooring and window furnishing solutions for their space.

We’re less concerned about whether you've sold flooring or window furnishings before and more interested in the person you are.

You're are suitable if you:

- Enjoy sales and aren't afraid to ask for the business
- Naturally follow up customers rather than waiting for them to come back to you
- Are friendly, confident and comfortable dealing with customers both in the showroom and their homes
- Are organised and take ownership of your quotes and customers
- Have good attention to detail and are comfortable working with measurements and plans
- Are reliable and take pride in being someone your team can depend on
- Enjoy working towards individual and team sales targets
- Are willing to learn and want to become genuinely good at what you do
- Work well as part of a team and are happy to help others when required

Experience in flooring,



window furnishings or consultative sales would be an advantage, but it's not essential. We'll teach the right person our products, systems, quoting and measuring.

What the role involves

You’ll help customers select from our range of carpet, timber, laminate, vinyl and hybrid flooring, along with blinds, shutters and other window furnishing solutions.

You’ll be responsible for preparing quotes, actively following up opportunities, managing your own customer pipeline, completing in‑home measures, reading plans and calculating quantities.

You’ll work closely with our administration, warehouse and installation teams to make sure each job progresses smoothly from the initial enquiry through to installation.

You’ll also continue developing your product knowledge through hands‑on experience and training from our suppliers.

The role includes a base salary plus commission, with transparent sales targets and the opportunity to earn more when you perform.

We’ll provide training across flooring and window furnishings, including product knowledge, quoting and measuring.
