Support Workers - * Permanent part-time and Casual - Wollongong* NSW
Payworx is seeking experienced, reliable, and professional Support Workers to provide high‑quality care within Supported Independent Living (SIL) environments across the Wollongong and Illawarra region. We are particularly seeking workers with strong mental health support experience and excellent communication skills.
About the Role
You will support participants with daily living, emotional regulation, behavioural needs, and medication administration. This role requires calm decision‑making, solid boundaries, and the ability to work confidently with individuals experiencing mental health conditions and complex behaviours. Monthly ongoing rostered shifts are available, offering stability and consistency.
Requirements
- Previous Support Worker experience is essential
- Experience in SIL environments and medication administration
- Proven experience supporting participants with mental health conditions
- Excellent English communication skills - written and spoken
- Current NDIS Worker Check
- First Aid & CPR certificates
- Working With Children Check (WWCC), where required
- National Police Check
- Valid Australian driver's licence and own vehicle
- Relevant NDIS training and certifications
- Must be able to commit to sleepovers and/or active nights
