Weare seeking an experienced IT Engineer – Applications with hands-on AVEVA PI System experience to support the implementation of an operational data platform within the utilities sector.
This role will focus on configuring, integrating and supporting a real-time data platform used to monitor and analyse operational performance across water and wastewater infrastructure.
Working across IT and Operational Technology (OT), you will collaborate with technical teams and operational stakeholders to deliver a reliable, scalable platform that supports monitoring, reporting and operational decision-making.

Key responsibilities

- Install, configure and administer AVEVA PI System components.
- Manage PI Data Archive, Asset Framework, Interfaces and Connectors.
- Develop PI Vision dashboards, asset models, analyses and Event Frames.
- Monitor platform performance, availability and capacity.
- Troubleshoot system, infrastructure and data integration issues.
- Configure backups, recovery and high availability.
- Manage system access, security and compliance requirements.
- Support testing, commissioning and transition into operational support.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Proven hands-on experience implementing and supporting AVEVA PI System.
- Strong knowledge of PI Data Archive, PI Asset Framework and PI Vision.
- Experience with PI Analyses, Event Frames,



Interfaces and Connectors.
- Understanding of SCADA, Industrial Control Systems (ICS) and OT environments.
- Experience with application monitoring, troubleshooting and system administration.
- Robust communication skills and the ability to work with technical and operational stakeholders.

Experience within the water, wastewater or broader utilities sector will be highly regarded.
