Medical Receptionist – Village Cardiology
9–11 Layton Street, Camperdown

Village Cardiology is seeking an experienced, organised and professional Medical Receptionist to join our team supporting three cardiologists at our Camperdown practice.

This is a permanent part-time role working Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with the chance to pick up additional days as the practice grows and when covering staff leave. It suits someone with a solid background in medical administration who enjoys the pace of a busy specialist practice, communicates with confidence and delivers compassionate, patient-focused service.

As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the face of our practice, managing patient interactions, scheduling, and administrative tasks that directly contribute to the smooth operation of our cardiology services.

About the Role

- Front desk reception for three cardiologists
- Managing patient bookings and enquiries
- Coordinating telehealth and in-clinic appointments
- Processing Medicare, DVA and private billing
- Managing correspondence, reports and referrals
- Liaising with referring practices, hospitals and other healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care
- Supporting the smooth daily operation of the practice

About You





- Minimum 2 years’ medical reception or healthcare administration experience – essential
- Working knowledge of Medicare, DVA and private billing
- Experienced with medical practice management software (specialist practice experience highly regarded)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a busy environment
- Reliable, proactive and able to work independently and as part of a small team
- Available to work Tuesdays and Wednesdays on an ongoing basis
