At Maha, bold Middle Eastern flavours meet generous hospitality and thoughtful service. As Shane Delia’s flagship restaurant, we have spent over 18 years building a dining experience that is distinctly our own.

We are looking for full-time waitstaff who take pride in their craft and want to develop within an experienced, ambitious team.

The opportunity

You will help deliver the Maha experience from the first welcome to the final farewell, taking ownership of your section and working closely with the kitchen, beverage and floor teams to bring each service together.

Our approach combines precision with personality. We value people who know their menu, read their guests and bring warmth and confidence to the table.

With an established wine program and a considered cocktail and spirits offering, this is an chance to deepen your knowledge and build your skills. Whether you are an experienced section waiter or looking to progress towards a senior service or wine-focused role, there is room to develop your craft.

The role also includes service at our adjoining Bar Jayda, offering experience across two distinct settings with a shared commitment to quality.

What you bring

Ideally, you have at least two years of experience in a busy restaurant, with confidence managing a section and delivering attentive, well-paced service.

We are looking for someone who:

- Makes guests feel welcome, comfortable and understood.

- Takes pride in menu knowledge and enjoys guiding guests through food and beverage choices.

- Stays organised and composed through a busy service.

- Communicates clearly, supports teammates and responds well to feedback.

- Notices the details and takes initiative.

- Brings curiosity, reliability and a genuine interest in building a career in hospitality.

A strong interest in wine is welcome, along with the willingness to keep learning.

Maha operates seven days a week across lunch and dinner. Availability across a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays, is required, as are valid Australian working rights.
