I'm working with a brilliant, high-energy restaurant concept in Cambridge that is looking for an experienced General Manager to take the lead at one of its key sites. This is a busy, quality-led operation, so I'm looking for someone who loves being on the floor, knows how to build a great team and can balance brilliant hospitality with strong commercial performance.
THE ROLE
- You'll have full ownership of the restaurant, from the people and guest experience through to sales, labour and overall profitability.
- You'll be visible on the floor, setting the pace during busy services and making sure standards are consistently high.
- People will be a huge part of the role. You'll recruit, coach and develop your team, creating a positive culture with clear expectations, accountability and opportunities to progress.
- Commercially,
you'll own the P&L; and understand what drives your business - managing labour and costs, protecting margin and finding opportunities to grow sales.
THE PERSON
I'm looking for an established General Manager with experience in a busy, quality-led casual dining.
You’ll be:
- A solid, hands-on operator who genuinely enjoys being on the floor
- Confident managing a high-volume restaurant and a sizeable team
- Commercially switched on with solid P&L; experience
- Brilliant with people - able to recruit, develop and retain a strong team
- Guest obsessed, with a real understanding of what great hospitality looks like
Comfortable working in a fast-paced business with plenty of ambition
