Regional Project Engineer - Queensland Division

The Rix Group is seeking an experienced Regional Project Engineer to join and support our Queensland division.

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Regional Project Engineer will join an established team and will be responsible for ensuring the project deliverables, project planning and efficiency, quality and compliance, providing design and technical support to the construction and supervision teams, and resource management.

The role requires an exceptional degree of communication, interaction and liaising with internal and external stakeholders. You will by lead by example, demonstrating the qualities and behaviours that you expect from your colleagues and team members, and you will continuously maintain the highest level of health and safety standards in accordance with RIX’ WHS policies and exhibit behaviours consistent with our values.

What we want:

- Minimum 5 years relevant experience on Australian Tier 1 construction/engineering,



infrastructure and/or resources projects, with ground engineering experience/exposure being highly favourable
- Demonstrated ability to plan and coordinate site activities, labour, plant, materials and subcontractors to meet programme, productivity and project requirements
- Experience monitoring project costs, quantities, progress, procurement and forecasts, with the ability to identify and escalation commercial or programme risks
- Strong understanding of construction quality requirements, including preparation and management of ITPs, inspection records, hold points, technical documentation and project close-out records
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, design documentation and construction methodologies, and to provide practical engineering support to site teams

What we expect:

- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management, or similarly related fields
- Open to travelling to our regional jobs, and working on a DIDO/FIFO basis
- A strong and confident communicator, literacy proficiency, great-to-excellent MS Excel ability, and a keen desire to learn, teach, encourage and support
- A current open Driver’s Licence and Construction White Card
