Working with a General Insurance Broker, this role offers an exciting opportunity in Broker Support - Claims. You will play a key role in managing and progressing claims, while also assisting with broader broker support and administration. The role is flexible, based in-office at Wayville, working from home or hybrid, for 10-20 hours per week. Working days and hours are also flexible and can be tailored to suit. The Insurance Broker works closely with Small to Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and the Agriculture Industry as well as some domestic work.
Key responsibilities
- Submit, manage and progress claims from initial notification through to finalisation
- Liaise with insurers, loss adjusters, repairers and other parties to obtain information and progress claims
- Prepare claim updates for the Broker and assist with client communication where required
- Ensure that all paperwork and documentation comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies
- Assist with insurance proposals, forms, database updates and general broker administration where required
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Assist broker and Senior Broker Support with various tasks as needed to support their day-to-day operations
About you
- Minimum 3 years experience within the insurance industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Solid communication skills and the ability to liaise professionally with insurers and external stakeholders
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Good working knowledge of general insurance and the ability to interpret policy wordings and insurance documentation
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills and accuracy
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Flexibility and willingness to take on various tasks as needed
- Desirable: Experience using Insight Software
- Desirable: Claims handling experience
