This role will see you take ownership of a large-scale national payroll function that supports thousands of employees across Australia. Reporting to the Head of Payroll, you'll play a key leadership role in ensuring our payroll operations run smoothly, accurately and compliantly, while supporting and developing a high-performing payroll team.

The Role

- Lead Protech's national payroll function, ensuring accurate, compliant and efficient payroll delivery.
- Manage and develop a high-performing payroll team, fostering capability, accountability and continuous improvement.
- Partner with key stakeholders to provide trusted payroll expertise and support.
- Drive payroll governance, compliance and risk management.
- Champion process improvements and system enhancements that improve efficiency and employee experience.
- Oversee key payroll reporting, audits and statutory obligations.
- Contribute to strategic payroll projects and broader business initiatives.

- An experienced payroll professional with a robust track record in high-volume, complex payroll environments.
- A people-focused leader able to coach, develop and empower teams.
- Ability to navigate legislation, awards, EAs and compliance requirements.
- A proactive problem solver who can balance operational priorities with continuous improvement opportunities.
- Collaborative and commercially minded, with the ability to build credibility across all levels of the business.
