Allied Express is seeking an experienced and hands‑on Yard & Depot Operations Supervisor to provide dedicated ownership of yard operations, equipment management, fleet movements and depot flow across the critical AM-to-PM operational transition. The role is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient and organised movement of freight, vehicles and equipment while supporting operational readiness and depot performance.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate yard operations, traffic flow and depot organisation.
Manage pallets, cages and equipment, including recovery and repair coordination.
Oversee trailer and linehaul unit positioning and utilisation.
Coordinate fleet returns, unloading activities and freight handovers.
Manage return and pickup freight staging and progression.
Monitor depot capacity and floor-space utilisation.
Maintain safe vehicle movements and pedestrian pathways.
Identify and resolve congestion, equipment and operational constraints.
About You
Experience in transport, logistics, freight or warehouse operations.
Strong organisational and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to coordinate multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
Excellent communication and leadership capability.
Commitment to safety and operational excellence.
Forklift licence or forklift experience highly regarded.
