Business Development Manager – Restaurant Tech
Full-time | Brisbane / Queensland Territory
Base salary $75,000 + super + car allowance + uncapped commission
OTE $100,000 to $140,000, including commission
Restaurant tech that owners actually love. Uncapped commission.
Zwift powers online ordering, POS and payments for hundreds of independent restaurants and takeaways across Australia. We help venues move away from high third‑party aggregator commissions and take back control of their customers, data and margins.
We are expanding our presence in Queensland and are looking for a driven Business Development Manager based in Brisbane.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who knows how to open doors, build relationships and close new business.
Opportunity
You will own the Queensland territory, with an initial focus on Greater Brisbane, including the CBD, inner suburbs, northside, southside, Ipswich, Logan and Moreton Bay, with opportunities to expand into the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and key regional hubs.
You will be selling a platform that genuinely helps hospitality businesses improve profitability, streamline operations and build stronger direct customer relationships.
You will have a direct line to the Head of Sales, with no unnecessary layers of management, giving you the autonomy to move quickly and build momentum.
With an established product and proven track record, you will have the opportunity to grow Zwift's presence across Queensland and help shape the territory's future success.
Role
In this role, you will be responsible for new business sales across the Queensland hospitality market.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Visiting restaurants, takeaway venues and hospitality operators across your territory
- Building relationships with owners, operators and decision‑makers
- Running product demos and explaining the commercial value of the Zwift platform
- Managing the full sales cycle from prospecting through to demo, close and handover to onboarding
- Building and maintaining a solid pipeline of opportunities
- Representing Zwift at trade shows, hospitality events and local industry opportunities
- Helping build the Zwift brand and presence in Queensland
This is a field‑based sales role suited to someone who enjoys being out in market, meeting people face‑to‑face and creating opportunities.
About you
We are especially interested in two types of candidates.
You may be a hospitality operator who has moved into sales. You have worked in restaurants, cafes, takeaway venues or hospitality businesses, and you understand venue owners because you have lived that world yourself.
Previous B2B sales experience is required for hospitality operators transitioning to sales roles.
Or you may be an SMB field sales professional with 2 to 4 years' experience closing deals in payments, POS, hospitality technology, SaaS, business services or a similar sector.
Candidates require a minimum of 2+ years sales experience for SMB field sales positions in payments, POS, hospitality technology or similar sectors.
You will be a strong fit if you are:
- Self‑directed and comfortable managing your own territory
- Confident walking into venues and speaking with business owners
- Resilient, commercially minded and motivated by results
- Genuinely curious about restaurants and hospitality businesses
- Able to manage your own pipeline without needing constant reminders
- Comfortable with demos, follow‑up, negotiation and closing
- Professional, reliable and easy to build trust with
A valid driver's licence and reliable car are essential.
Australian work rights are required for this position.
Package
- $75,000+ base salary based on experience
- Superannuation
- Car allowance
- Uncapped commission on every sale
- Monthly performance bonus
- OTE $100,000 to $140,000, including commission
- Opportunity to develop and grow your territory
- Flexibility in how you manage your week
- Clear opportunity to grow with the territory
For motivated, high-performing salespeople, the earning potential is uncapped.
Why Zwift?
This is not a role where you are selling something venues do not need.
Zwift gives independent hospitality operators a smarter way to manage online ordering, POS and payments, while helping them reduce reliance on expensive third‑party platforms.
You will be selling something that makes sense to restaurant owners, supports their margins and gives them more control over their business.
