We’re looking for a motivated Water Broker to join our team in our Irymple VIC office and look after clients across multiple trading zones. You’ll build solid relationships with clients, help them plan their water needs for the season ahead and grow our client base. Our team of 5 water brokers currently earn between $200,000 and $400,000 a year.
Key responsibilities
- Arrange buying, selling and leasing of water allocations and entitlements for clients
- Help clients put together a water plan that suits their farm and budget
- Keep track of water prices, allocation announcements and market trends
- Find and follow up new clients through calls, farm visits and local networking
- Keep accurate records in our client system
About you
- Agricultural or rural background or experience working with farmers preferred
- Understanding of the water market (preferred, but we’ll train the right person)
- Confident on the phone and good at building relationships
- Organised, accurate and comfortable with numbers
- Current driver’s licence and happy to travel locally
What you can earn
You’ll start on a base salary while you learn the role and build your client book, then move to full commission as your business grows. It’s a clear path to the same earnings our current team enjoys.
