The Role

- Prepare, assess, review and deliver detailed quotations for construction projects.

- Develop comprehensive cost breakdowns and procurement schedules for successful tenders.

- Conduct site inspections, take measurements, and identify key project requirements and cost drivers.

- Build and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and industry partners.

- Monitor project costs and ensure estimates are accurate, competitive, and aligned with project scope.

Skills & Attributes

The successful candidate will:

- Previous estimating experience within the construction, insurance repairs, or building industry.

- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and current industry standards.

- Demonstrate a strong work ethic, initiative, and a proactive approach to their work.

- Be highly analytical, with exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

- Have excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a quick-paced environment.

- Possess a sound understanding of the construction industry, supported by relevant qualifications in Construction, Estimating, Building, or a related field.

- Be highly proficient in computer systems and technology, with experience using estimating, project management, and Microsoft Office software.

- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams.

- Be able to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
