About Us

Restoration Response Australia is seeking an Experienced Restoration Technician to join our growing team.

We specialise in insurance restoration services, assisting residential and commercial property owners following water, fire, storm and mould-related damage.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a motivated and experienced technician who takes pride in their work, can confidently manage restoration jobs and is passionate about delivering quality service to clients during challenging circumstances.

About the Role

As an Experienced Restoration Technician, you will be responsible for assessing, coordinating and completing restoration works across residential and commercial properties.

We are looking for someone who can work independently, make informed decisions on site and contribute positively to a growing team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct site inspections, moisture assessments and damage evaluations.
- Identify affected materials and determine appropriate restoration methods.
- Complete water extraction, structural drying, mould remediation, fire and smoke cleaning, and associated restoration works.
- Set up, monitor and remove drying and restoration equipment.
- Prepare accurate inspection reports, moisture readings, photographic documentation and scopes of work.
- Complete make-safe works, minor strip-outs and remediation activities.
- Communicate professionally with property owners, builders, insurers and other stakeholders.
- Manage allocated jobs efficiently, ensuring works are completed safely and within required timeframes.
- Maintain restoration equipment, vehicles and tools.




- Support and provide guidance to junior technicians when required.
- Participate in a rotating after-hours and weekend on-call roster.
- Assist with regional and interstate catastrophe response when required.

About You

We are seeking an experienced technician who is confident in their abilities, reliable and able to hit the ground running.

Essential Requirements:

- Minimum 3 years' experience in the restoration industry.
- Demonstrated experience in water damage restoration, structural drying and mould remediation.
- Sound understanding of moisture detection, drying principles and restoration equipment.
- Ability to assess damage, identify required works and complete jobs with minimal supervision.
- Experience preparing restoration reports, moisture logs and photographic documentation.
- Solid communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Professional presentation and a positive, team-focused attitude.
- Current driver's licence.
- Construction White Card or willingness to obtain one.
- Working with Children Blue Card or willingness to obtain one.
- Willingness to participate in an after-hours on-call roster.

Highly Regarded:

- IICRC qualifications, particularly WRT, ASD, AMRT or FSRT.
- Experience working on insurance restoration claims.
- Knowledge of industry standards and restoration best practices.
- Experience mentoring or supervising junior technicians.
- Experience with restoration job management and reporting software.
