Legal Senior Associate / Special Counsel – Commercial Litigation
You'll be working closely with partners on a broad range of commercial disputes. You'll have responsibility for managing your own files, developing litigation strategies, dealing directly with clients, briefing counsel and conducting negotiations and mediations.
Key responsibilities
Work on complex contractual and commercial disputes
Handle shareholder, director and partnership disputes
Manage Corporations Act disputes and breaches of directors' duties
Work on insolvency and restructuring-related litigation
Handle commercial property and finance disputes
Manage injunctions, debt recovery and enforcement proceedings
Manage your own files independently
Develop litigation strategies
Deal directly with clients
Brief counsel and conduct negotiations and mediations
About you
At least 6 years' post-admission experience, with a solid background in commercial litigation
The ability to run litigation matters independently
Strong drafting, advocacy, negotiation and client management skills
Good commercial judgement and a practical approach to resolving disputes
The confidence and ambition to take on greater responsibility as the firm grows
