Duxton Vineyards ("DV") is a large-scale, vertically integrated wine business located in the Sunraysia region of Australia. The business owns and operates over 1,423 hectares of wine grape vineyards in this region, as well as a large-scale winery. The Role

Based at our Buronga Winery and reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, we are looking for two (2) Maintenance Fitters responsible for preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance to keep our winery plant and equipment operating safely and efficiently.

This hands-on role will see you troubleshooting mechanical issues, carrying out repairs and overhauls, and helping drive equipment reliability across the site. You'll also play a key role in mentoring Trade Assistants, Apprentices and Contractors, and in fostering a positive safety culture.

To meet operational demands, the role requires flexibility to work shift work, overtime and after-hours callouts, particularly during vintage and other peak production periods.

Key Responsibilities

- Diagnose faults, repair, overhaul, adjust, maintain, test and commission plant and equipment.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns and maintenance requests, including after-hours callouts.




- Assist with vintage preparation, shutdown maintenance and capital improvement projects.
- Complete work orders and accurately record time, materials and maintenance activity in our MEX maintenance system.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to Trade Assistants, Apprentices and Contractors.
- Communicate effectively at shift changeovers and provide written handover of all shift issues.
- Carry out confined space and working at heights tasks in line with training provided by DV.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that improve reliability and reduce downtime.
- Conduct all workplace tasks with a strong commitment to Duxton Vineyards environmental and sustainability objectives, ensuring compliance with Company policies and relevant environmental laws and obligations.
- Any other duties as reasonably requested by the Maintenance Supervisor.

About You

- Trade qualification (Mechanical) or Engineering Diploma or Degree.
- Experience and technical knowledge of winery plant and equipment and refrigeration plant.
- Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
- Experience using a computerised maintenance management system (MEX or similar) highly regarded.
- Strong ability to work under pressure and in a team environment.
- Willingness to work flexible schedule, including shift work, overtime and after-hours callouts.
