Role Description This is a full-time Accounting Specialist, Business Development role based in Melbourne, VIC, with a hybrid work model that allows some work from home. The role involves reviewing and interpreting financial statements, supporting clients in the use of accounting software, and ensuring accurate journal entries and reconciliations. You will work closely with clients and internal teams to understand accounting and SMSF needs, identify opportunities for Cloudoffis solutions, and support the implementation of the platform.

Day-to-day tasks include performing analytical reviews of client data, preparing documentation and reports, assisting with product demonstrations, and providing accounting expertise to the business development team.



You will collaborate with sales, product, and customer success teams to improve processes and deliver a high-quality experience for clients.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Finance, with the ability to interpret and explain financial information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Financial Statements and Journal Entries (Accounting), including preparation, review, and reconciliation for accuracy and compliance.
- Hands-on experience with Accounting Software, preferably cloud-based platforms; ability to learn new systems quickly and support clients in their usage.
- Well-developed Analytical Skills, with attention to detail and the ability to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, CA, or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Experience in SMSF or similar financial services environments is beneficial.
- Solid communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate across business development and product teams.
- Comfort working in a hybrid environment, managing time effectively between onsite and remote work.
