Role Description This full-time Anatomical Pathologist role is an on-site position based in Canberra. The Anatomical Pathologist will review and interpret histopathology and cytology specimens, provide diagnostic reports to our referrers, and participate in multidisciplinary clinical meetings.

Qualifications

- Specialist qualification in Anatomical Pathology (or equivalent)



and eligibility for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Demonstrated expertise in histopathology and/or cytology reporting, including the ability to manage a broad range of case types.
- Strong diagnostic judgment, attention to detail, and commitment to evidence-based practice and patient safety.
- Effective communication skills for clear written reports and collaborative work with clinicians, laboratory staff, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience with laboratory information systems, and adherence to quality assurance and accreditation standards.
- Ability to work on-site in a rapid-paced laboratory environment, manage workload effectively, and contribute positively to team culture.
- Ongoing engagement in continuing professional development; prior experience in teaching, research, or regional pathology services is an advantage.
