Role Description This full-time, on-site MRI Radiographer role is based in Gosford, NSW. The MRI Radiographer is responsible for performing high-quality MRI examinations, ensuring accurate image acquisition and adherence to established protocols. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and positioning patients, operating MRI equipment, managing imaging workflows, and maintaining radiation and MRI safety standards.

The role involves working collaboratively with radiologists, referrers, and clinical staff, providing clear communication and qualified patient care throughout the imaging process.



The MRI Radiographer also supports quality assurance activities, equipment checks, and continuous improvement of imaging practices.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated proficiency in Radiologic Technology and Radiology, including performing MRI examinations and working with advanced imaging equipment.
- Strong understanding of Radiation, Radiation Safety, and relevant safety regulations and guidelines applicable to medical imaging environments.
- Solid foundation in Medicine as it relates to diagnostic imaging, anatomy, pathology, and clinical indications for MRI procedures.
- Current registration with the appropriate radiography regulatory body and valid radiation license as required in NSW.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Medical Imaging or Radiography, with MRI certification or significant MRI experience preferred.
- Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care, including effective communication with individuals of diverse backgrounds and ages.
- Strong attention to detail, commitment to image quality, and adherence to clinical protocols and infection control standards.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and manage workload in a fast-paced clinical environment.
