The Role

The Maritime Integrated Warfare Systems (MIWS) Branch is a dynamic and evolving organisation committed to delivering consistent, efficient and high-quality outcomes. As an APS6 Business Intelligence Officer within the Quality and Business Management Systems (QBMS) Team, you will play a key role in enabling the systems, information and processes that support effective business operations across the Branch.

Working under broad direction, you will contribute to the management and continual improvement of the Branch Quality Management System (QMS), Business Management System (BMS) and SharePoint environment. You will work closely with stakeholders across MIWS to improve information accessibility, support evidence-based decision-making, and promote consistent business practices.

The role involves analysing information, identifying opportunities for improvement, supporting quality initiatives, and helping ensure personnel have access to reliable, current and trusted information. Through your work, you will contribute to organisational effectiveness, collaboration and continuous improvement, supporting the delivery of capability outcomes across the Branch.

About our Team

The Quality and Business Management Systems (QBMS) Team supports the systems, tools and information that enable consistent, effective and efficient business operations across MIWS Branch. We manage the Branch Quality Management System, Business Management System and SharePoint environment, while supporting information management and continual improvement activities.

Our focus is on improving access to reliable information, reducing duplication, standardising ways of working and helping personnel make informed decisions. We work collaboratively across the Branch to deliver practical solutions that strengthen business performance, enhance organisational effectiveness and support the successful delivery of MIWS capability outcomes.

Eligibility

Security Clearance:

Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at Negative Vetting Level 1.
