Opportunity:
A family dental practice in Lakemba is looking for a general dentist to join its team on Fridays and Saturdays. The role offers broad clinical variety, with patients ranging from young children through to older adults, and a treatment mix that covers restorative, endodontic, extraction and prosthodontic work every week.

The team includes dentists with postgraduate training in oral surgery, implantology and orthodontics, alongside general dentists from a range of Australian and international backgrounds. Implants, All on 4, Invisalign, crowns, bridges, veneers, laser dentistry and sleep apnoea appliances are all delivered in house, so complex cases stay within the practice rather than being referred out.

Friday runs 9am to 6pm and Saturday 9am to 3pm. Two oral health therapists, one with an adult scope qualification, look after hygiene, periodontal maintenance and much of the paediatric work, which keeps your appointment book focused on diagnosis, restorative and surgical care.

About You:
You hold full AHPRA registration as a dentist and bring at least 12 months of general practice experience. You are confident with fillings, simple extractions and root canal treatment, and you want to build on that across surgical, pros and orthodontic work.



You explain treatment in plain language and adapt easily to patients from many cultural backgrounds.

You are organised, keep thorough clinical notes, and take ownership of your patients from first examination through to completed treatment. Interest in implants or transparent aligners is welcome. Continuing professional development matters to you and you take it seriously.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide comprehensive general dentistry to children, adults and older patients
- Carry out examinations, radiographs, diagnosis and treatment planning
- Deliver restorative, endodontic, extraction and prosthodontic treatment
- Present treatment options and costs clearly, including payment plan choices
- Coordinate care with oral health therapists and senior dentists on complex cases
- Treat patients under health fund, government voucher and veterans’ schemes in line with their requirements
- Maintain accurate records and follow infection control and accreditation standards

Location:
Lakemba is in Sydney’s Canterbury Bankstown area, roughly 15km from the CBD, with a train station connecting directly to the city. It has a young population with a median age of 32 and large family households, which drives steady demand for children’s and general dentistry. The suburb’s food scene is a genuine drawcard, with Lebanese, Bangladeshi, Pakistani and Indonesian eateries and bakeries at every turn.
