We’re a hands-on MSP that does a lot of cloud, automation, and project work, mostly in the Microsoft and Linux ecosystem. We’re looking for a technician who enjoys variety: one hour you’re helping a user, the next you’re tracing a Defender alert back to its source, and in the afternoon you’re working on a migration project.
We want someone who’s curious, thinks analytically, and wants to understand why something happened, not just make the error go away.
What you’ll be doing
Support and service desk (a core part of the role)
- Handling end-user tickets across our client base: troubleshooting, fixing, and communicating clearly with non-technical people
- Owning issues through to resolution and documenting what you did
Microsoft infrastructure and cloud
- Administering Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, and Exchange Online
- Managing Windows Server environments, both on-prem and in Azure and AWS
- Delivering project work: migrations, deployments, tenant setups, and improvements
Security operations
- Triaging and investigating security alerts raised during the day
- Working in Microsoft Defender (Endpoint, Office 365, and the wider XDR suite) to follow an alert from detection to root cause and other SIEM platforms
- Deciding what’s a false positive, what needs containment, and what needs escalation, and explaining your reasoning
Automation and Linux
- Writing and maintaining scripts (PowerShell, Python primarily) to automate repetitive work
- Linux administration and troubleshooting
What we’re looking for
We don’t require certifications. We care about what you can actually do. If you’ve built skills through hands-on work, a homelab, or years of fixing things, that counts.
You’ll likely have:
- Solid hands-on experience supporting Microsoft environments (M365, Entra ID, Intune, Windows Server)
- Real experience investigating security alerts: you know how to pivot from an alert to device timelines, sign-in logs, and process trees to work out what actually happened
- A good working knowledge of Microsoft Defender
- Comfort with PowerShell and a willingness to automate rather than repeat
- Some Linux experience: comfortable at the command line, reading logs, and finding your way around a system you didn’t build (ideally we do want someone who is a Linux fan)
- The ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users
Nice to have
- Azure infrastructure experience (VMs, networking, backup)
- KQL / Advanced Hunting
- Experience in an MSP setting
- A homelab or side projects you enjoy talking about
Why join us
- Variety: support, cloud, security, and projects in one role
- Room to grow into security, cloud, or automation depending on your interests
