Electrical Manager – Southern Tasmania

The opportunity
Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Southern Electrical Manager to establish and grow our business in Southern Tasmania. Reporting directly to the Company Director, this senior role is responsible for building our Southern presence, including its client base, team, project delivery and financial performance.

Key responsibilities

- Grow the Southern electrical business, including current clients, markets and repeat work

- Develop and deliver a business plan for the South, with growth and profit targets

- Manage the Southern P&L;, budgets, margins and cash flow

- Build, lead and develop a Southern team of project managers, supervisors and field staff

- Oversee delivery of industrial and HV projects from tender through to handover

- Manage contracts, variations, claims and commercial risk

- Drive safety, quality and compliance across all Southern projects

- Report to the Company Director on performance, pipeline and growth

- $50,000 sign-on bonus for candidates who meet the required criteria (conditions apply)

- Senior salary package [$180,000 - 250,000+ super + incentives], negotiable on experience

About you

- Senior business management experience, including P&L; responsibility and commercial decision making

- Proven ability to grow a business, win new work and build client relationships

- Strong background in industrial electrical and/or High Voltage

- 10+ years in project management or similar senior roles

- Proven track record of leading teams and delivering complex projects on time and on budget

- Strong contract and commercial skills

- Current driver’s licence

- Able to communicate and work well with team members, clients and third parties

Highly regarded

- A-Grade electrician with a current Tasmanian Electrical Practitioners Licence, or an engineering qualification

- Established client and industry relationships in Southern Tasmania

- Experience with AS 4000 / AS 2124 or similar contract forms

- Experience establishing or growing a regional branch or business unit
