Fatra Australia is a Western Sydney manufacturer and national supplier of waterproofing membranes, insulation and construction chemicals, used across all classes of building. Our brands include Fatra sheet membranes, InnoPro Waterproofing liquid and torch-on systems, and InnoTherm insulation, supplied as complete warranted roofing and waterproofing systems. We work with architects, specifiers, builders and applicators on projects across Australia.

About the position

Design, develop and manage websites and digital platforms for Fatra Australia and its brands, ensuring clear, user-friendly content and consistent branding. Translate technical waterproofing and insulation information into accessible digital resources for industry professionals. Lead the development of two new websites, including a dedicated data centre website handling commercially and security-sensitive project information, and the company’s main website for staff, customers and partners, supporting the shift towards AI-driven customer service and automation.

Some of the duties and responsibilities are:

Website, Digital Design and Development

- Plan, design and deliver the company’s websites and digital tools, including site architecture, navigation, page layouts and user interface (UX/UI).

- Lead the design and development of two new websites, including a dedicated data centre sector website containing confidential and security-sensitive project information, in accordance with applicable non-disclosure obligations.

- Design, develop and maintain the company’s headquarters website, providing employees, customers and business partners with access to technical resources, pricing information and online tools.

- Consult with directors, clients, management, sales, technical and production teams to determine design objectives, project requirements, communication needs and technical constraints.

- Research user behaviour and analyse functional and communication requirements to ensure websites and digital resources effectively meet the needs of architects, specifiers, builders and applicators.

- Develop design concepts and translate technical information into clear, practical and visually consistent digital communication solutions.

- Prepare sketches,



diagrams, illustrations, wireframes, prototypes and page layouts using design software such as Figma to communicate concepts and present design options for approval.

- Collaborate with the Senior Software Developer to develop, test and implement web pages, landing pages and online specification tools used by architects and industry professionals.

- Evaluate and recommend suitable visual styles, digital formats, materials and media to ensure the functional and aesthetic effectiveness of website content and digital publications.

- Design, format and maintain technical documentation in HTML, including product data sheets, system guides and technical details for online viewing and downloading.

- Interpret two-dimensional technical drawings prepared by the company’s engineers and draftspersons and convert them into accurate three-dimensional visual representations of roofing, insulation and waterproofing systems, including confidential details for data centre projects.

- Prepare, optimise and publish digital assets, including graphics, images, videos and multimedia content, ensuring compatibility, quality and performance across digital platforms.

- Document approved designs, website components, specifications and style guidelines to support consistent implementation, maintenance and future development.

- Coordinate and oversee the production, testing and publication of approved designs across selected digital platforms, ensuring the final output meets the agreed design specifications and requirements.

- Maintain and organise design files, technical resources and project documentation for future reference, updates and reuse.

Brand, Digital and Marketing Support (Approximately 10%)

- Maintain and apply brand guidelines for Fatra, InnoPro and InnoTherm to ensure consistency across digital,



marketing and promotional materials.

- Develop visual concepts and creative assets for digital campaigns, product launches and promotional activities in collaboration with sales and technical teams.

- Edit and produce video content for marketing, product information and training purposes.

- Prepare and finalise artwork for print production and other promotional materials, ensuring compliance with brand standards and production requirements.

- Present and refine creative concepts in consultation with relevant stakeholders, incorporating feedback and negotiating design solutions that meet business, technical and communication objectives.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Essential

• Bachelor degree in web design, multimedia design, graphic design or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience

• At least 2 years of full time experience designing websites or digital platforms for the construction or building products industry

• Working knowledge of the construction industry, including how architects, specifiers and builders use technical product information

• Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)

• Sound understanding of UX/UI principles, responsive design and web publishing

• Working knowledge of HTML and CSS, and experience working alongside developers

• A portfolio showing website and digital design work

• Explicit written and verbal communication, and the ability to work with technical and sales teams

• Demonstrated trustworthiness in handling confidential and security-sensitive information, including previous work under non-disclosure agreements

Desirable

• Knowledge of waterproofing systems, particularly insulated waterproofing (roofing) systems

• 3D visualisation of building systems from 2D technical drawings

- Experience with websites or content for data centre or other critical infrastructure projects
- Video editing and motion graphics
