Anything Environmental is a locally owned and operated Containers for Change authorised refund point, committed to making recycling easy and accessible for our community.
We are seeking a motivated, reliable and hardworking individual to join our team in a Hand Sorter / Customer Service role. This is a hands-on position suited to someone with a positive, can-do attitude who enjoys working in a rapid-paced environment and providing excellent customer service.
Weekend work is required, with penalty rates applicable.
Key Responsibilities
- Sorting and counting bottles and cans accurately.
- Welcoming customers and assisting them throughout their visit to the depot.
- Providing friendly, professional and productive customer service.
- Recording transaction details and maintaining accurate records.
- Communicating respectfully with customers and members of the public.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work environment.
- Following workplace health and safety procedures and contributing to effective site management.
About You
The successful candidate will:
- Have a genuine interest in recycling and environmental sustainability.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Be reliable,
punctual and committed to their rostered shifts.
- Have a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
- Be physically fit and capable of prolonged standing and physically demanding tasks.
- Be comfortable working around unpleasant odours that can occur in a recycling environment.
- Have good numeracy and written communication skills.
- Be able to work safely, independently and as part of a team.
- Be flexible and available to work weekends as required.
