About the role

We are seeking a talented and customer-focused Service Advisor to join the team at Scenic Motors in Beaudesert, QLD. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth operations within our automotive service department. As a Service Advisor, you will be the critical link between our customers and our technical team, managing customer relationships, understanding their vehicle needs, and coordinating service solutions that exceed expectations. This position is fundamental to maintaining our reputation for quality service and customer satisfaction in the automotive industry.

Key responsibilities

- Greet customers in a qualified and welcoming manner, understanding their vehicle service requirements and concerns

- Inspect vehicles with customers to identify service needs and discuss maintenance or repair options

- Provide accurate quotations for service work and explain recommendations in clear, non-technical language

- Process service orders and maintain detailed records of customer vehicle history and service requests

- Coordinate scheduling of vehicle servicing to ensure efficient workshop operations and timely customer collection

- Communicate progress updates to customers regarding their vehicle repairs and any additional issues discovered during service

- Handle customer inquiries regarding service status, warranty claims, and general automotive maintenance advice

- Develop strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business and maintain customer loyalty

- Process payments and manage invoicing for completed service work





- Work collaboratively with technicians to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve any service-related concerns

What we're looking for

- Proven experience as a Service Advisor, Service Coordinator, or similar customer-facing role within the automotive industry

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to explain technical automotive concepts to customers in an accessible manner

- Excellent organisational abilities with proficiency in managing multiple customer requests and service scheduling

- Proficiency with automotive service management software and computer systems

- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance, common repairs, and automotive terminology

- Customer service excellence with a genuine commitment to delivering positive customer experiences

- Sales ability to recommend appropriate service packages and upsell additional vehicle maintenance

- Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle customer concerns with professionalism and tact

- Attention to detail in record-keeping and service documentation

- A valid driver's licence and willingness to move vehicles as required

- Preferred: Experience in a busy automotive dealership or service centre environment

- Preferred: Familiarity with different vehicle makes and models
