About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic and versatile team members to join Bernti's Mountain Inn on a casual basis. This is an excellent prospect for individuals who are passionate about hospitality and enjoy working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Based in Thredbo NSW 2625, this all-rounder position offers the flexibility to work across multiple departments including barista duties, bartending, housekeeping, kitchen operations, and food service. The successful candidate will be adaptable, reliable, and committed to delivering outstanding customer service in a mountain hospitality setting.

Key responsibilities

Your responsibilities will vary depending on operational requirements and may include:

- Preparing and serving quality espresso-based beverages and hot drinks to guests

- Mixing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with venue policies and licensing requirements

- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout guest-facing and operational areas

- Supporting kitchen operations by preparing, cooking, and plating food items to specification

- Delivering exceptional food and beverage service to guests, taking orders and attending to their needs

- Maintaining inventory and restocking supplies in assigned areas

- Operating point-of-sale systems and processing transactions accurately





- Following all health and safety protocols and adhering to food handling standards

- Contributing to a positive team environment and supporting colleagues across departments

- Responding flexibly to changing operational needs and guest requirements

What we're looking for

- Previous experience in hospitality, food service, or related roles is highly desirable

- Barista certification or experience preparing specialty coffee beverages

- Bartending experience or knowledge of drink preparation and pouring techniques

- Food handling certification or willingness to obtain one

- Strong customer service skills with a genuine passion for hospitality

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

- Flexibility to work across multiple roles and adapt to changing priorities

- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high hygiene standards

- Reliability and punctuality

- A positive attitude and willingness to learn

- Valid Australian working rights
