The Opportunity
Gorilla Jobs is seeking a Locum General Surgery Consultant to support general surgery services in regional NSW.
This role suits an experienced General Surgeon who is confident managing acute surgical presentations across the Emergency Department, wards and emergency theatre.
On-call general surgery cover, at $2,500 per day.
Clinical Environment
• On-call general surgery cover across the Emergency Department and wards
• Acute surgical presentations, ED referrals and ward-based surgical reviews
• Emergency theatre patients and surgical case mix
• Assessment, management planning, escalation and ongoing surgical care
• Documentation and handover with surgical, nursing and hospital teams
Requirements
• Current AHPRA Specialist Registration
• Recent General Surgery consultant-level experience
• Confidence managing on-call and emergency theatre requirements
• Strong communication, leadership and clinical judgement
• Current CV, references and compliance documents as required

Location
Regional NSW offers varied surgical exposure across emergency theatre, ED and ward work.
This is a strong opportunity for a General Surgery Consultant wanting a regional locum with a explicit daily rate and on-call structure.
