About the role

The Hotel Manager is responsible for the overall day-to-day operation of the hotel, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, productive business operations, and compliance with company policies and industry standards. The role oversees front desk operations, housekeeping services, food and beverage operations, staff management, rostering, and customer service while driving operational excellence and profitability.

Key responsibilities

- Oversee all front office and reception functions and ensure efficient guest check-in, check-out, and reservation processes

- Monitor front desk standards and ensure professional presentation and service delivery

- Manage guest enquiries, complaints, and special requests promptly and professionally

- Lead and supervise the housekeeping team to maintain high cleanliness standards throughout the property

- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities

- Manage housekeeping schedules and staffing levels to meet operational requirements

- Supervise offsite cafe, restaurant, bar, and food service operations and lead restaurant staff to deliver exceptional guest service

- Recruit, train, develop, and retain team members and conduct regular performance reviews





- Prepare and maintain weekly and fortnightly rosters across all departments

- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements and hospitality regulations

About you

- Previous experience in hotel, hospitality, or accommodation management

- Demonstrated leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams

- Strong customer service and conflict resolution skills

- Experience with rostering, workforce planning, and labour cost management

- Excellent communication and organisational skills

- Sound knowledge of hospitality operations, including front office, housekeeping, and food and beverage services

- Proficiency in hotel management systems and Microsoft Office applications

- Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Management, or a related field (desirable)

- Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification (desirable)

- First Aid certification (desirable)
