We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Customer Service Checkout Manager to lead our front-end team and deliver an exceptional shopping experience. This role is responsible for managing checkout operations, supervising customer service staff, and ensuring efficient, friendly, and accurate service at all times.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and motivate checkout and customer service team members.
- Ensure excellent customer service standards are maintained.
- Manage daily checkout operations, including cash handling and register reconciliation.
- Resolve customer enquiries, complaints, and escalated issues professionally.
- Monitor staffing levels and prepare team rosters.
- Train new employees and support ongoing team development.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, WH&S; requirements, and loss prevention procedures.
- Monitor key performance indicators and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support store management in achieving sales and customer satisfaction targets.
About you
- Previous supermarket or retail management experience. (or at least a year of supervisory experience)
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Efficient numeracy & literacy skills
- Experience managing teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Sound cash handling and administrative skills.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution capabilities.
