- Base salary $77K to $97K The Role ABC News is looking for a passionate and talented reporter to join our Muswellbrook newsroom. In this role,you’llcreate engaging, original journalism across radio, digital and social platforms while working closely with a collaborative and high-performing editorial team.
You’llhelp shape the local news agenda, contribute to breaking coverage, and bring stories of Newcastle and the Hunter region to audiences nationwide. The Job
- Produce and present news bulletins, interviews, Q&As; and cross-platform packages, including breaking news.
- Create compelling local content that resonates with both regional and national audiences.
- Participate in planning and commissioning to develop strong story ideas and boost engagement.
- Source,identifyand develop original stories that reflect the diversity of the community.
- Contribute to local emergency broadcasting and liaise with key stakeholders asrequired.
- Actively represent ABC values and uphold all relevant workplace and editorial policies.
