About the opportunity
A Queensland Government department is delivering a major, department-wide transformation of how information and records are managed. The program will affect every staff member, introducing new technology, modern ways of working and stronger recordkeeping practices across the organisation.
We’re looking for an experienced Technical Change Manager to be the key link between IT and the business. You’ll build trusted relationships with executives and business leaders, represent stakeholder needs throughout delivery, and drive engagement and adoption so the organisation gets real value from its technology investment.

What you’ll be doing

- Act as the primary point of contact between IT program teams and business areas, building strong relationships with executives and key stakeholders.
- Partner with business leaders to understand strategic priorities and operational challenges.
- Develop and deliver stakeholder engagement and communication strategies, including running champions networks, communities of practice, workshops and executive briefings.
- Identify stakeholder impacts and resistance points, and design engagement approaches that support implementation and business readiness.
- Lead change, training and workforce readiness activities for new systems and business processes.
- Manage stakeholder concerns and escalations, and broker solutions where business requirements clash with technical constraints.
- Monitor adoption outcomes and stakeholder satisfaction, and report on engagement effectiveness.

What you’ll bring

- Significant experience on large, complex digital transformation programs, in stakeholder engagement, business relationship management, change or technology delivery.
- Strong executive-level engagement skills and a track record of building trust and credibility with IT and business leaders.




- Proven experience delivering change and business readiness for technology solutions.
- Experience facilitating governance forums, steering committees and executive briefings.
- The ability to work autonomously in a small team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Highly regarded

- Prosci or equivalent change management certification, and/or project management certification.
- Experience with records management, EDRMS or information management system rollouts.
- Queensland Government experience.
