Position Type: School Operations| Employment Status: Permanent/Ongoing| Classification Level: ESO3 Xavier College is seeking an organised and proactive Student Hub Technician to join our Riverlea Park (R-6) Campus as a founding staff member. This is an exciting opportunity to support the daily operation of a vibrant Student Hub, assisting students and staff to access resources, technology and learning support services within a welcoming and engaging environment. Commencing January 2027, this permanent, part-time position is offered across 41 weeks of the school year, working Monday to Friday from 8.30am – 4.00pm (with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break). As the Student Hub Technician, you will:
- Support the daily operation of the Student Hub and associated services
- Assist students and staff to locate, access and utilise resources and information
- Maintain resource cataloguing, borrowing systems and reporting processes
- Support the use of audio-visual and ICT resources, including basic troubleshooting
- Create engaging displays and learning spaces within the Student Hub
- Assist with resource management, stocktakes and acquisitions
- Work collaboratively with staff to support teaching and learning programs

They will possess strong ICT skills and a commitment to providing exceptional support to students and staff. The ability to work collaboratively, manage competing priorities and create an engaging, welcoming environment will be essential. - Certificate IV in Library and Information Services (or equivalent) and/or relevant demonstrated experience
- Experience in a library, student hub, resource centre or similar support workplace
- Strong ICT skills and ability to support audio-visual and digital technologies
- Excellent organisational, administrative and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and exercise initiative
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff and the wider community
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and maintain confidentiality
