Account Manager / New Business Development – Civil Equipment Hire Join a leading national equipment hire business with an extensive fleet, major civil project exposure and a strong reputation across the industry. This is an opportunity for an experienced hire professional to manage established customer accounts, increase monthly rental spend and win new business across Melbourne. With a robust operational network, dedicated administration support and experienced management, you will have the resources to grow your portfolio and secure major project opportunities. The Role Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing and growing existing civil construction accounts.
- Developing new business and winning customers from competitors.
- Increasing monthly rental revenue and identifying additional hire opportunities.
- Building relationships with site managers, project managers and procurement teams.
- Identifying upcoming projects and securing equipment hire opportunities.
- Working closely with operations to deliver excellent customer service.
About You We are looking for an experienced hire professional with established relationships across civil construction, infrastructure or related industries. Your background may include:
- Dewatering and sewage bypass
- Shoring, propping and ground support
- Earthmoving and compaction
- Generators and power
- Traffic management equipment
- Site accommodation and amenities
- Access equipment, cranes or general equipment hire You will be commercially driven, confident developing customer relationships and capable of delivering measurable sales growth. You must have hire equipment experience to qualify for this role. Salary & Benefits
