About the role

Seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join a State Government agency to provide strategic and operational HR support across a diverse stakeholder group. Working closely with leaders, you will deliver expert advice on employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, organisational change, and people initiatives. This is a hands-on role that offers the opportunity to influence people outcomes, build leadership capability, and support a high-performing workplace culture.

About You

- Previous Victorian State Government or broader public sector experience.
- Proven experience in a HR Business Partner or senior HR advisory role.
- Strong expertise in employee relations, performance management, and workforce planning.
- Experience partnering with leaders to manage complex people matters and organisational change.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
- Sound knowledge of employment legislation, industrial relations, and HR best practices.

Responsibilities

- Partner with leaders on HR and people matters.
- Provide advice on employee relations and performance management.
- Support workforce planning and organisational change initiatives.
- Coach leaders on people management best practices.
- Contribute to HR projects and workplace improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with HR policies and employment legislation.
