Newlife Church is seeking a passionate and experienced Accounting professional to join our team on a permanent, part-time basis. This important role supports the financial health of Newlife Church by managing accounting functions, financial reporting, and compliance to ensure our resources are managed responsibly and effectively in support of our mission.

Working Closely with the Business Manager and Finance Team, this role ensure that financial functions, reporting, and systems are accurate and compliant across Newlife Church.

Key responsibilities

Manage financial reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, budgeting analysis, grant funds, cashflow and statutory compliance

Work closely with the Business Manager on financial functions and systems accuracy

Coordinate the annual external audit

Provide backup to the payroll function

Ensure financial obligations are met accurately and on time

About you





Bachelor's degree in accounting

Broad accounting experience

Payroll knowledge

Confidence using MYOB and Microsoft Office

Solid organisational and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities

Commitment to the mission, values, and ethos of Newlife Church and the Uniting Church in Australia

Demonstrates integrity and attention to detail
