About the opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Business Analyst to support Department of Health, Disability and Ageing delivering data-driven compliance, risk analytics and digital transformation initiatives.

Working within a specialised Risk Analytics team, you will bridge business and ICT delivery teams, translating complex business needs into explicit requirements for analytical, reporting and digital solutions.

Key responsibilities

- Lead business analysis, requirements gathering, stakeholder workshops and co-design activities across complex ICT and analytics initiatives.

- Define and manage functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria and product backlogs.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data and analytics specialists, ICT teams and external delivery partners.

- Analyse and improve current and future-state business processes, supporting operational efficiency and organisational change.

- Lead UAT, solution validation, business sign-off and transition into operations.

- Manage project planning, governance, risks, issues and dependencies, ensuring successful delivery outcomes.

- Provide strategic advice,



lead multidisciplinary workstreams and promote BA best practices and continuous improvement.

Skills and experience

- Strong experience as a Senior Business Analyst or Technical Business Analyst delivering complex ICT initiatives.

- Proven requirements analysis, process mapping, stakeholder engagement and Agile delivery experience.

- Experience working with data, analytics, reporting or technology-enabled business solutions.

- Strong UAT, governance, risk management and delivery assurance capabilities.

- Experience with Azure DevOps, Microsoft 365 or similar requirements and delivery management tools.

- Demonstrated leadership, stakeholder negotiation, problem-solving and communication skills.
