Custom Fleet
Melbourne
People, Performance & Culture Coordinator
At Custom Fleet, we’ve been using our smarts to make the complex simple for over 40 years. It’s the driving force that continues to make us the fleet and leasing leader in Australia and New Zealand today.
When you join Custom Fleet, you’re joining a business that is Going Places. With us, what you do and who you are matter. Being part of our diverse crew means you’ll feel welcome, empowered and have lots of fun celebrating our success (and that sure does feel good). We are a crew of accountable go-getters on a journey of continuous improvement — we collaborate and support each other, working hard to win for our customers, for our business and for each other. Whilst winning isn’t everything, we are proud of our success and love it when we reach the #1 spot.
About the role
Love keeping things moving, creating a great employee experience and being the person a team can rely on? This could be the role for you.
We’re looking for a People, Performance & Culture (PPC) Coordinator to join our PPC team at Custom Fleet. This role sits at the heart of our PPC team. You’ll be the first point of connection for many of our people and leaders, helping them navigate everyday people processes while keeping the engine room of PPC running smoothly.
It’s a role with plenty of variety. One day you might be supporting a new starter through their onboarding experience, the next preparing employment documentation, updating our people systems, coordinating a wellbeing initiative or helping the team improve the way we do things.
If you’re organised, curious, enjoy working with people and take pride in getting the details right, we’d love to hear from you.
What you’ll be doing
- Coordinate key moments across the employee lifecycle, from onboarding and employment changes through to offboarding.
- Prepare employment contracts, letters and other people documentation.
- Help manage PPC enquiries and connect people with the right support.
- Keep employee information and our people systems accurate and up to date.
- Support PPC, culture, wellbeing and employee experience initiatives.
- Help keep our templates, resources and HUB content current and useful.
- Coordinate activities, reporting and administration that keep the PPC team running effectively.
- Look for opportunities to simplify processes and make the employee experience better.
Other duties
Depending on your experience, interests and what’s happening across PPC, you may also have opportunities to:
- Support the coordination of ad hoc PPC activities, events, communications and employee experience initiatives where scope, ownership and deliverables are clearly agreed.
- Provide surge support for cyclical PPC activities.
About you
You don’t need to know everything on day one. We’re looking for someone who brings a great foundation and is keen to keep learning.
You’ll likely be someone who:
- Has experience in HR/PPC coordination or an administration role including employee lifecycle coordination, shared services,
business administration or a similar coordinator role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint.
- Is highly organised and comfortable juggling different priorities.
- Has robust attention to detail without losing sight of the person at the other end of the process.
- Communicates clearly and builds relationships easily.
- Is comfortable working with systems, processes and data.
- Takes ownership and follows things through.
- Is curious and looks for better, simpler ways of doing things.
- Enjoys being part of a collaborative team and pitching in when needed.
- A degree in Human Resources or a related field is highly regarded.
Other
Experience supporting communications, employee engagement activities, recognition programs or wellbeing initiatives.
Comfortable coordinating with internal stakeholders and external providers to support PPC and HSW administrative activities.
