Gold Coast Mediation & Resolution is seeking a Casual Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner to join our team in Burleigh Heads, Queensland. This is a casual position offering flexibility to work on an as-needed basis. As a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in helping families navigate difficult transitions and resolve disputes in a constructive, neutral manner. This position is fundamental to our mission of providing accessible, professional mediation services that support families through challenging circumstances and promote amicable outcomes.
What you'll be doing
Conducting family mediation sessions with individuals, couples and families to facilitate resolution of disputes relating to parenting matters.
Providing neutral, impartial support to help parties identify common ground and develop mutually acceptable solutions
Assessing suitability of cases for mediation and screening for issues such as domestic violence or power imbalances
Maintaining detailed records of mediation sessions in accordance with professional standards and legal requirements
Adhering to confidentiality protocols and professional codes of conduct throughout all interactions.
What we're looking for
Accreditation as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner or equivalent qualification recognised under the Family Law Act 1975 (Cth)
Demonstrated experience in conducting mediation sessions and resolving disputes.
Current professional indemnity insurance or eligibility to obtain it.
