About Kapooka Health Centre
KapookaHealth Centre & Clinic are approximately 10 minutes outside ofWagga Wagga withintheKapookaMilitary arealocatedat Blamey Barracks.All soldiers in theArmy completeBasic Training here, known as the “Home of the Soldier”. These healthfacilities support the Army Recruit Training Centre (ARTC).It has a 50-bed low dependency ward whichoperates24/7.Services provided include primary medical, nursing, dental,
mental health,pharmaceuticaland physiotherapy.Health Centre staff maybe requiredto work across Wagga &Kapooka.Standard; hours of operation aregenerally 0700-1600Monday to Friday (depending on role requirements and specific craft groupsrequiredfor weekend and on-call shifts).
What you’ll do
- Deliver high-qualitymental healthcare to Defence members
- Conductingfitness-for-duty assessments and pre/post-deployment care.
- Undertaking assessments,interventions,formulating treatment and care plansfor individuals and groupeducation sessions
- Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary clinical environmentwhere patientwellness is paramount
What you bring
- Unrestricted AHPRAgeneralregistration as aPsychologist
- Minimum two years’Post Graduateexperiencewithinlast five yearsinmental health withinaPrimary HealthcareSettingor Specialist Mental Health Setting
- Comprehensive assessment skills and experience in‘Focussed Psychological Strategies’ and ‘Psychological Therapy’ asperMedicare Schedule
- Current CPR certification (HLTAID009)
- Australian CitizenshiprequiredforBaseline Security Clearance
- Commitment to CPD and ethical, patient-centred care
