About the role:

As a Rehabilitation Counsellor or Psychologist, you'll play an key role in helping individuals overcome barriers to recovery, build confidence and achieve safe, sustainable return to work outcomes.

Working collaboratively with injured workers, employers, insurers and treating practitioners, you’ll deliver tailored rehabilitation services that support individuals to regain their independence and participate in meaningful employment.

This is a predominantly Brisbane-based role, ideally suited to someone seeking full-time employment, with flexibility available for the right candidate.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Supporting individuals recovering from psychological injuries to safely return to work through collaborative rehabilitation planning and graded return to work programs.

Providing adjustment to injury counselling,



assisting individuals to develop effective coping strategies and overcome barriers to recovery.

Conducting vocational assessments and providing vocational counselling to identify realistic and sustainable employment pathways.

Delivering job-seeking support, employment preparation and job placement services to assist individuals transitioning into new employment in line with their capacity, experience and the local labour market

Building strong working relationships with workers, employers, insurers and treating health professionals to achieve positive rehabilitation outcomes.

Managing a varied caseload while delivering high-quality, client-centred rehabilitation services.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

Rehabilitation Counsellors: Eligibility for or current full membership with ASORC

A genuine passion for helping others

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Effective time management and organisational ability

Confidence to work independently and within a collaborative team

Competence with case management software and general IT tools

A full and valid driver’s licence

Experience in vocational counselling or employment services be highly regarded.
