We are seeking a proactive, hands-on Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of our Palmwoods site in Queensland.

About the Role

Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Operations Manager is responsible for the overall operational efficiency, safety, and service standards of the Palmwoods facility. You will lead shift teams, oversee plant operations, ensure compliance, and build strong relationships with members and community groups.

Key Responsibilities:

Facility Operations: Oversee daily centre operations, chemical testing, pool plant maintenance, and contractor management.

Team Leadership & Development: Recruit, mentor,



and schedule Duty Managers, Pool Lifeguards, and Customer Service staff.

Safety & Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to health and safety regulations, aquatic guidelines and incident response protocols.

Member Experience: Foster a safe, inclusive environment by maintaining high presentation standards and resolving customer enquiries with warmth and care.

Financial & Administrative Control: Manage operational budgets, inventory, and shift rostering to meet performance targets.

What We Are Looking For

Proven Experience: Demonstrable background in facility management, shift supervision, or senior operations within an aquatic or leisure setting.

Technical Knowledge: Understanding of pool plant operations, water chemistry, and safety compliance.

People Management: Excellent team leadership, roster management, and conflict-resolution skills.

Key Qualifications (or willing to obtain prior to commencement):

Pool Lifeguard Certificate (SISSS00133)

Clearances: Valid Queensland Working with Children Check (Blue Card - Employee status)
