yourtown is a trusted provider of services for young people, with a focus on mental health and wellbeing, long-term unemployment, prevention of youth suicide, child protection, as well as support for those experiencing domestic and family violence.

yourtown is seeking 4 young people who are enthusiastic about starting a career in Fencing.

yourtown’s fencing traineeship gives you practical, hands-on experience in construction, fencing, property maintenance and workplace safety. Build your confidence while learning valuable trade skills, using industry tools and equipment, and working alongside experienced supervisors on real projects.

This is a 12 month paid opportunity to learn while you earn. You’ll complete a Certificate II in Horticulture (AHC20422) delivered by CSTC (RTO 0699) which will help prepare you for future careers in construction, trades and other hands‑on industries.

Who can apply?

- Young People aged between 15 and 24;
- Must not have completed a Certificate II in Horticulture;




- Must meet eligibility requirements for a Working with Children Check;
- Must be able to complete a National Police Check;
- Not currently a full time student at TAFE, University or School;
- Be local to the (Insert suburb) area;
- Permanent resident of Australia;
- Current Zealand citizen permanently residing in Australia;
- Refugee and Humanitarian Visa Holder living in Australia; or
- Temporary Visa Holder living in Australia with the necessary visa and work permits on the pathway to permanent residency.
